Thank you for considering Solomon Family Solutions to assist you with your adoption home study needs.
We are a Licensed TN Child Placement Agency and offer this service on a sliding scale based upon the client’s gross household income.
Adoption home studies are completed as expeditiously as possible, however prospective adopting parents are responsible for completing all requirements of the assessment, pay fee, as well as follow up in a timely manner with questions or concerns.
This is a TEAM EFFORT and requires everyone to work together and stay in contact with each other.
If expedited service is required (i.e., less than 2 weeks) please notify us immediately. Additional fees may apply.

STEPS TO BEGIN
1. To begin this process, please fill out and submit our adoption home study application (see link below that will take you to a Google Form).
2. Once the application is received by our office, a case manager will contact you via email. If you submitted your application and have not yet received an email from a case manager within 24-48 hours, please email Mary Duff, LMSW, our Child Placement Manager at mary@solomonfamilysolutions.org or via text to 423-464-6575 to verify that we received your application.
3. An invoice via PayPal may be emailed to you after we receive your application, or you are welcome to remit payment online via solomonfamilysolutions.org – Make A Payment. Household Annual income is based upon your current income as of the day of your application and will be verified during the adoption home study investigation via pay stubs, bank statements, and/or federal tax returns.

BRADLEY, POLK, MCMINN, HAMILTON, RHEA, MEIGS, & MONROE COUNTIES

4. Once application and payment are received, you will receive further instructions, forms, and a checklist to move forward in your adoption home study journey via email. Please make sure them email provided on your application is correct. Please allow 48 – 72 hours to receive this email from our office. **PRICING FOR OTHER COUNTIES: TOTAL FEE AS LISTED ABOVE PLUS ADDED FEE BASED UPON TRAVEL TIME AND MILEAGE
$25 per hour driving time round trip from our Cleveland Office to your home plus $0.55 per mile

Meet Mary Duff, LMSW

Mary Duff, LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) Mary was born and raised in Cleveland, TN. Mary graduated from Cleveland High School in 1998 and went on to get her undergraduate degree at the University of TN at Chattanooga. She earned a Bachelor’s in Social Work degree with focus on School Social Work in 2004. After graduation she worked in adoption and foster care and then moved on to work in a skilled nursing facility. After working for 2 years, she decided to go on and get her Master’s degree. She moved to Nashville and began the Master’s in Social Work Program at the Nashville satellite campus at the University of TN. She interned at the TN Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence. She became a Licensed Master’s Social Worker in 2008 with concentration in gerontology. After graduation, Mary spent 10 years working at Parthenon Pavilion, an inpatient acute care psychiatric hospital in Nashville. She also supervised court ordered family and children visits for over 8 years. Mary is currently completing Adoption Home Studies for Solomon Family Solutions as well as leading IOP groups in the community. In her free time she enjoys reading, the outdoors and spending time with her rescue dog.
